Overview of the Role

Saputo Dairy Products Canada is seeking a passionate Key Account Manager to partner with the Loblaw team in Vaughan, Ontario. This position reports directly to the Director, Retail Sales and will be responsible for the profitable management and day to day account activities and requirements for the Loblaw business. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, show leadership and initiative, professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail which are all core Saputo Company values. Salary Range: $78,170-$102,600

Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills and training.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Deliver account gross margin and volume targets by effectively managing Saputo’s current business as well as building new category volume
  • Work with all levels of Saputo supply chain to ensure product availability
  • Manage all aspects of the key account function including pricing and promotional plans, new product presentations, forecasting, trade spend management, debit notes, and manage day-to-day customer needs
  • Be prepared to get into the numbers. Sell in the program, place the forecast, analyze the results by using excel, Saputo web-based software and customer web based software
  • Cover day to day issues that arise from store level through to head office
  • Coordinate activities with Saputo field sales staff and Marketing to maximize opportunities.
  • Develop long-term business strategies that align with the customer and Saputo’s long term goals
  • Prospect new business opportunities through new category development and new product initiatives
  • Prepare and present regular business reviews and new product presentations to both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Form excellent relationships at all levels in the customer’s organization and within the Saputo organization
  • Maintain a high degree of market and dairy industry knowledge
  • Special projects as required or assigned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • A degree/diploma in business, sales, marketing or equivalent education and training desired
  • Minimum 2 years Account Management experience in Canadian CPG industry
  • Dependable and team oriented with a proven ability to build internal and external relationships
  • Effective communication, organization, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Comfortable making presentations in front of a group
  • Proficiency with MS Office, advanced Excel skills, and ability to learn new software quickly
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Strong team orientation, dependable, and a proven ability to work well with others
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a multi-tasking, high priority environment
  • Inquisitive mindset and desire to learn new skills
