About Us:
Woodbridge Pallet is a leading manufacturer of new and recycled pallets, serving a wide range of industries with a commitment to quality and efficiency. We are currently seeking a dedicated and hands-on Plant Manager to oversee operations at our Bowmanville location.
Position Overview:
The Plant Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of plant operations, including production, logistics, human resources, health and safety, facility maintenance, and administration. This role is ideal for a motivated and organized individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement and team development.
Production & Logistics

Oversee daily production scheduling and ensure on-time, efficient order fulfillment

Be the primary point of contact for production-related challenges and drive volume improvements

Optimize delivery logistics and trailer loading

Lead equipment upgrades and inventory management

Support mulch operations and reduce material waste
Facility & Yard Maintenance
- Supervise property maintenance and respond to opening/closing and emergency calls
- Reconfigure yard/machine layouts for efficiency
- Improve housekeeping and support weekend cleanups if needed
Human Resources & Employee Management
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees
- Monitor and support employee performance, provide coaching, and address day-to-day HR issues
- Support implementation of a stronger Health & Safety program
- Maintain ISO-certified Heat Treatment procedures
- Promote a positive workplace culture
Administration & Reporting
- Serve as the primary HR contact for WSIB, Ministry of Labour, ROE requests, etc.
- Input piecework data and review production metrics
- Track inventory, support purchasing, and issue POs
- Assist in developing policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or plant management role, preferably in a wood or industrial environment
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with experience managing diverse teams
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices in Ontario
- Solid understanding of logistics, scheduling, and production processes
- Experience with inventory management, equipment maintenance, and cost control
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, email communications, and time tracking systems
- Valid G driver’s license and Forklift Operator License is required

Woodbridge Pallet utilizes an indoor facility comprising of 140,000 square feet complete with 20 loading docks for producing, storing, and transport maneuverability within the Greater Toronto Area. To surpass demand and quality requests, we have incorporated conveyor systems, automated sorting, stacking, repair and nailing equipment to assist in the demand for proficient and prompt pallet construction and repair.
