As the Segregated Fund Specialist, you will complete new applications, maintain existing, and complete estates for insured investment products including but not limited to segregated funds, annuities, and guaranteed investment accounts. These transactions will be through referrals primarily from the Wealth Planning team. The specialist will be a resource for members that work directly with Investment Advisors (IAs) and will help with closing referrals for insured investments that may go to IAs.
This is a hybrid role with the potential for meetings to take place in person or by video conference. The successful candidate must attend multiple locations within a specific market on a regular basis.
What you bring:
- Complete applications for new insured investment contracts.
- Respond quickly to IAs for setting up new contracts either virtually or in person.
- Complete looped feedback with referrers.
- Assist in estate planning for members through IA collaboration.
- Provide regular educational updates to the Wealth Planning team.
- Utilize customer relationship manager (CRM) to ensure member information is up to date.
- Maintain existing insured investment contracts.
- Complete financial updates for members with existing contracts.
- Assist IAs with review meetings.
- Ensure documents are all filed appropriately.
- Complete estate requirements of insured investment.
- Be available to assist in completing estates for existing contracts.
- Some estates may need to be done in person, and some may be remote.
- Complete all requirements and attempt to retain estate proceeds with Prospera.
- Facilitate referrals from other Prospera business units.
- Refer clients with additional needs back to Prospera business lines.
What you bring:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Life License Qualification Program (LLQP)
- A minimum of 2-5 years in a financial advisor role
- Must be registered or registrable as an insurance representative. Designation/License/Certification considered an asset: Certified Financial Planner (CFP); and/or Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
- Organization skills
- Presentation skills
- Sales skills
- Working knowledge of CRMs, Conquest planning software, Dataphile, banking systems, and Microsoft Teams.

- Prospera offers a total compensation package of base salary plus incentives that is market competitive and reviewed annually. Our salary for this role is $75,000 per year + 8% performance bonus target.
