Technology Services Technology Services (TS) is responsible for delivering all enterprise infrastructure, applications and related end user technology services across all Brookfield business groups, comprised of approximately 6,500 users.

Job Description

  • Be the finance lead for the Applications team within the Technology Services Group
  • Responsible for the preparation of month end close for the Applications business

groups (i.e., journal entries, coordination and consolidation of month end results).

  • Prepare monthly P&L reporting and variance explanations between

budget/forecast and actual financial results.

  • Present monthly results to the Applications business group.
  • Work with the Vice President of Finance and the Applications leads to prepare the

monthly financial forecast presentation and provide variance explanations to

changes month over month.

  • Support the development of the annual budgets.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide explanations on changes

month over month.

  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial data, analysis, and insights from senior

management.

  • Other duties assigned as the role grows.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Three to Four (3-4) years of progressive work experience
  • Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills, and the willingness to always support the

team.

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to translate financial terms into business vocabulary.
  • Highly organized and able to work in a dynamic, complex, and fast-paced

environment, as well as adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and

professional development.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics an asset.
