Finance Coordinator
About the role
The Finance Coordinator supports the VP Finance in all aspects of financial management for ACE UBC. Responsibilities include assisting with budget creation and maintenance, vendor outreach and assistance with fundraisers, supporting grant preparation, and helping to plan the ACE Nationals Trip to Toronto. The Finance Coordinator will also participate in weekly training sessions, which feature structured business lessons, mock case competitions, and personalized feedback, to develop core business skills and prepare for the ACE Nationals Case Competition and Conference in January 2027. This role is designed to provide the VP Finance with a reliable second set of hands, ensuring smooth financial operations and strong team collaboration. \n
Time Commitment 2-5 hours per week
Term of Employment July 2026-March 2027
Responsibilities Assist with the creation and management of the annual budget Support the VP Finance in budgeting and planning for the ACE Nationals trip in Toronto Collaborate with the VP Events to help coordinate budgets for fundraisers and events and assisting with vendor outreach Help oversee and process cheque requisition submissions Participate in training for the ACE Nationals Case Competition and Conference Attend weekly training sessions, consisting of in-depth workshops on technical skills and public speaking, practice cases, and formal mock competitions Attend ACE Nationals in Toronto (January 2027)
Qualifications Basic understanding of accounting and budgeting Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Interpersonal skills and public speaking abilities Eagerness and a curiosity to learn Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is an asset Previous casing experience is an asset, but not required
