Job Summary:

As a Reconciliation Analyst at Central 1, you’ll support Payment Operations by completing daily reconciliations and financial analysis. You’ll ensure accounts in our banking system and ERP are accurate and balanced, helping operations run smoothly and critical deadlines stay on track.

What you'll be doing:

  • Reconciliations & Accuracy: Manage daily cash and account reconciliations, monitor for issues, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accuracy across assigned accounts.
  • Problem-Solving & Support: Collaborate with teams to resolve outstanding entries, provide troubleshooting support, and respond to inquiries from credit unions, corporate clients, and financial institutions.
  • Audit & Compliance: Prepare audit documentation, support external auditors, and help develop and implement new procedures in response to changes from the Bank of Canada and Payments Canada.
  • Operations & Reporting: Process monthly charges for credit unions and corporate clients, provide timely responses to stakeholders, and contribute to smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of ACSS/LVTS operations is an asset, and you may take on other related duties as needed.

What you'll have:

  • Post-secondary degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strong Excel skills are required; proficiency with Microsoft Office is an asset.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to work accurately and investigate discrepancies.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate and achieve results with others, even without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Quick learner who works effectively and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willing to occasionally take on tasks outside of core responsibilities to support the team.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to ensure work aligns with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Knowledge of clearing and settlement procedures between financial institutions, and familiarity with automated financial systems, are considered assets.

Salary Range: $52,000-$60,000

The salary represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training
