POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cook is responsible to the Manager for the menu planning, organizing and preparing all meals and food
services.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Journeyman cook preferred, but not required
-
Working knowledge of preparing meals for senior populations
-
Considerable experience in group / institutional cooking
-
Supervisory experience preferred
-
WHMIS and First Aid training required
-
Food Handling course required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preparation of menus
- Planning, organizing and preparing of any special food events
- Directing the preparation of food
- General organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, housekeeping and food storage areas
- Ordering food and housekeeping supplies
SHIFT INFORMATION Mandatory LAPP membership for permanent Part-time and Full-time employees that work a 0.7 FTE or greater (see policy FS 03-04)
Hours per shift:8 hrsShift pattern:DaysShifts per Cycle:

**PAY RANGE:**As per collective agreement
