We're currently looking for a Student Data & Systems Coordinator—a key member of our Technology Services team who plays an essential role in supporting school operations behind the scenes. In this position, you'll help manage our Student Information System (SIS), assist school and district staff with data-related questions, and contribute to projects that impact the success of thousands of students across the division.

What You'll Be Doing Managing Student Data
- Keep student records accurate, secure, and up to date
- Manage data imports/exports and ensure clean connections between systems
- Troubleshoot data issues and work with school staff to resolve them
Creating Reports & Supporting Decisions
- Generate reports for school staff, principals, and division leaders
- Help teams understand the information they're working with
- Support data-driven planning and improvement
Training & Support
- Offer friendly, clear support to school staff and office teams
- Help others learn how to use the student information system (PowerSchool or similar)
- Answer system-related questions and escalate technical issues when needed
Supporting Projects & Improvements
- Help roll out new features or tools within the SIS and other platforms
- Work on cross-functional projects that support school operations
- Keep documentation updated and accessible for staff
Ensuring Privacy & Compliance
- Help protect student data by managing access permissions and user roles
- Follow privacy rules, data standards, and internal procedures
What We're Looking For We're looking for a confident communicator with an eye for detail and a heart for supporting education. You'll enjoy this role if you:
- Have a diploma or degree in a technology, business, or admin-related field—or equivalent experience
- Have 3–5 years of experience working with student data, databases, or large information systems (PowerSchool experience is a big plus!)
- Are comfortable learning new systems and processes
- Have experience creating reports, solving data issues, or supporting business systems
- Can train and support staff with different levels of tech comfort
- Are organized, proactive, and able to manage deadlines
- Experience with any of the following systems is an asset (but not required):
- SRB AtrieveERP, Edsby, SchoolEngage, SchoolMessenger, FES, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Google for Education
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Valid driver's license and clean abstract
- Current criminal record check and intervention record check

About Peace Wapiti Public School Division
Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 5,800 Kindergarten to Grade 12 students in 36 schools, including nine Hutterite colony schools, two outreach schools, an online school, and educational programming at a group home facility.
The system provides schooling for students from Horse Lake First Nation and Kelly Lake Indigenous Community. Excluding the colony schools, the smallest school has an enrollment of 34 students and the largest has 623 students. Alternative Education provides flexible programming to 95 students. In the smaller and more rural high schools, some reliance is placed on distance education programs to augment the basic in-school offerings. Specialty programs exist to meet local needs.
PWPSD employs the full-time equivalent of 375 teachers and 600 non-teaching staff, in addition to a number of part-time and casual personnel. The Transportation Department manages 100 bus routes.
