About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Key Account Manager (KAM) to support the launch and growth of an innovative oncology pipeline in Western Canada. This role is ideal for an experienced oncology sales professional with a strong clinical understanding, business acumen, and a proven record of success in specialty pharmaceutical sales and key account management.
The successful candidate will be building collaborative partnerships with oncologists, cancer clinics, and institutional stakeholders to support patient access and optimize outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with HCP’s
- Map and coordinate patient treatment pathways within regional cancer centers and affiliated institutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Marketing teams to align regional initiatives with national strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive territory business plan that supports product launch and growth objectives
- Achieve sales and engagement targets by effectively communicating value, efficacy, and safety to HCP’s
- Analyze local market trends, system dynamics, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions
- Share field insights and best practices to support continuous improvement across the oncology portfolio
- Deliver balanced, evidence-based, and compliant scientific information to HCP’s
- Facilitate educational programs, clinical workshops, and learning sessions to strengthen understanding and engagement
- Represent the organization at regional and national oncology meetings, congresses, and relevant industry events
- Ensure all activities adhere to corporate policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards
- Maintain accurate and timely customer and territory data within the CRM system
- Manage territory budgets responsibly and ensure appropriate documentation of expenses and activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, ideally within oncology or other specialty areas
- Proven success in key account management, territory planning, and product launch execution
- Strong understanding of the oncology landscape in Western Canada, including treatment protocols and referral networks
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strategic, self-driven, and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and willingness to travel
