Job Description

RSSW is seeking a dynamic and engaging Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the operations of two warehouses located in the Québec City area. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the successful candidate will supervise a team of 10 to 20 employees depending on the time of year and ensure the achievement of performance, health and safety, quality, and customer service objectives.

Main Responsibilities

Operations Management Oversee daily receiving, warehousing, order picking, shipping, and delivery activities. Coordinate operations between both warehouses to optimize efficiency and productivity. Ensure established service levels and delivery timelines are met.

Team Management

Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 10 to 20 employees. Foster a positive, safe, and collaborative work environment. Conduct performance follow-ups, evaluations, and development plans. Plan workforce requirements according to seasonal fluctuations. Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training employees. Act as a coach for employees and team leads to promote autonomy and accountability.

Continuous Improvement and Optimization

Initiate and actively participate in projects aimed at optimizing operations, reducing costs, and improving quality. Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve results. Develop and maintain standardized work procedures. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Health and Safety

Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular inspections and implement necessary corrective actions. Participate in incident and accident investigations and analyses. Promote best practices in workplace safety and prevention.

Administrative and Technology Management

Proactively monitor operational and health & safety performance indicators. Prepare reports required by management. Collaborate with other departments to ensure an excellent customer experience. Participate in the preparation and monitoring of the operational budget. Optimize the use of integrated logistics systems.

Qualifications

College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in Operations and Logistics Management, or equivalent education and experience in a related field. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics supervision. Experience managing personnel. Strong knowledge of warehousing, inventory management, and distribution operations. Proficiency with computer applications and logistics management systems (ERP, WMS, TMS). Bilingualism (French/English – intermediate to advanced level) required due to the organization's nationwide operations and the need for effective communication across regions.
