Job Description
The University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream position in the Department of Philosophy and the Department of Statistical Sciences. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will begin on July 1, 2024.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct research in philosophy and statistical sciences.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in philosophy and statistical sciences.
- Supervise graduate students.
- Engage in service to the university and the profession.
Required Qualifications
- A PhD in Philosophy or a related field.
- A strong record of research and publication.
- Evidence of teaching excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in interdisciplinary research.
- Ability to contribute to the diversity of the academic community.
Other Relevant Details
- The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent research program and contribute to the academic life of the departments.
