Position: Accounts Payable and Accounting Analyst
Location: Richmond Hill
Salary: $60K to $70K
Job Type: Permanent

We are currently looking to hire an Accounts Payable and Accounting Analyst for a great client in the construction / manufacturing industry located in Richmond Hill. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing both transactional work and broader accounting responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Be responsible for end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice review, approvals, coding, and payment runs.

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of vendor payments in compliance with company policies.
-
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
-
Monitor aging reports and maintain strong vendor relationships.
-
Implement and maintain internal controls and efficiency improvements within AP workflows.
-
Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and accruals.
-
Assist with periodic inventory count and related reporting processes.
-
Manage capital asset records.
-
Collaborate with the accounting team on audits and year-end reporting.
-
Provide back-up support for daily deposit processing and billing.

Participate in new ERP implementation process.

Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting
-
1-2 years in a supervisory or Team Lead role
-
Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
-
Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar).
-
Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
-
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-
Demonstrates good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
-
Exposure to working with in a construction and/or manufacturing industry is a strong asset.
