About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER division is currently seeking a Product Specialist. This position can be based out of our Airdrie, AB or Edmonton, AB Eaton location and offers benefits from day one.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $82000 - $102000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What You’ll Do Who we are: The Eaton Power Distribution and Control Assemblies (PDCA) Marketing Team is dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and innovative electrical solutions for the industrial and commercial markets across Canada.

In the role of the PDCA Product Specialist, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive customer support for both orders in our factory and for products in the field. This will include technical and commercial support to our internal teams as well as our customers. Factory support is also a key aspect of this position through maintenance-of-line aspects including technical drawings, line support and designs for manufacturability through our many CNC/ automated fabrication processes. As a key interface to the markets that we serve, our PDCA Product Specialists will also be provided with the opportunity to facilitate customer training both at our home locations in Alberta or remote at customer sites in various geographies. Direct customer interface will also include participation and representation in our various industry tradeshows. As key members of our technical team, our product specialists are also instrumental in the creation of Marketing literature, product manuals and product launch materials. In support of the long-term viability of our PDCA business, our Product Specialists are also drivers for our Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/ VE) programs. In addition to the technical aspects mentioned above, the PDCA product specialist will provide commercial and pricing support to our sales teams, industry customers and distributors throughout Canada. As a team member, it is expected that all functions will be performed with adherence to Eaton’s philosophy and values as well as all Safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Technical Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the electrical industry.
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Professional Designation (P.Eng., CET, C.Tech.).
  • 5 years of experience in sales, marketing or engineering.
  • Technical product experience motor control, LV and MV motor control centers, switchgear and custom control panels.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/ Solidworks modeling experience and the ability to develop 2D drawings.
  • Good command of the French language (verbal and written skills).
