This is a high-impact editorial leadership role focused on building a trusted, practitioner-driven media brand for modern finance leaders. You will shape how CFOs and senior finance professionals consume insights, make decisions, and stay ahead of rapid changes in AI, systems, and financial operations. The role blends editorial excellence with audience growth strategy, spanning newsletters, long-form content, multimedia, and community-led formats. You will work at the intersection of content, distribution, and engagement, turning expert insights into scalable editorial experiences. This is not a traditional editing position, but a builder role focused on audience systems, recurring engagement, and measurable growth. Your work will directly influence subscriber acquisition, retention, and brand authority among senior finance decision-makers. You will help position the publication as a go-to destination for actionable, high-trust finance leadership insight. \n
Accountabilities: In this role, you will own the development and execution of editorial strategies designed to grow, engage, and retain a senior finance audience. You will create and shape content ecosystems that span articles, newsletters, video, podcasts, and live experiences, ensuring consistency in tone, authority, and relevance. Build and scale community-powered editorial experiences that drive subscriber growth, engagement, and retention across multiple channels Assign, edit, write, and publish high-value content including newsletters, articles, reports, interviews, and multimedia formats Develop decision-support content that helps finance leaders improve workflows, adopt tools, and make strategic operational decisions Translate practitioner insights into structured editorial outputs such as benchmarks, guides, surveys, and research-led content Lead content experimentation across headlines, formats, distribution, and conversion pathways using audience data and performance signals Manage contributor relationships and expand networks of finance experts, executives, and industry practitioners Oversee distribution across newsletters, SEO, social, partnerships, and community channels to maximize reach and engagement Support and host editorial programming such as podcasts, webinars, livestreams, and events Build systems for repurposing content into scalable assets including social snippets, lead magnets, and reports Monitor performance metrics including engagement, subscriber growth, retention, and authority signals, iterating based on insights Requirements You are a strong editorial operator with experience building content that resonates with professional or B2B audiences, particularly within complex or technical domains. You combine editorial judgment with a growth mindset and understand how content drives engagement, trust, and conversion. 5+ years of experience in editorial, content strategy, journalism, or audience growth roles within B2B or professional media environments Strong ability to translate complex financial, operational, or technical topics into clear, engaging, and useful content Experience building or growing newsletters, digital publications, or audience-driven content platforms Proven ability to work across multiple formats including written, audio, video, and live content Strong interviewing, synthesis, and storytelling skills grounded in practitioner or expert insights Comfortable using analytics tools and audience data to guide content experimentation and optimization Experience working with contributors, SMEs, or external partners to generate authoritative content Understanding of SEO, distribution strategies, and modern content discovery (including AI-driven channels) Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple editorial workflows Comfortable working in fast-paced, experimental environments with a focus on measurable outcomes Benefits Competitive salary range of $100,000 – $130,000 USD (location and experience dependent) Annual discretionary bonus eligibility Comprehensive benefits package Remote-first work environment with flexibility across Canada Opportunity to work on mission-driven, high-growth digital publications Professional development support and learning opportunities Exposure to executive-level audiences and industry thought leaders Collaborative, creative, and impact-oriented team culture Access to a portfolio of leading professional media brands and editorial ecosystems.
