SMS Equipment is growing!! We are looking for 1****st or 2****nd Year Apprentices Welders who enjoy finding solutions, make safety a priority and are excited about working with the largest, most advanced earthmoving equipment. You will be at the forefront helping to keep those machines, and the industry they service, moving! This position is in Timmins, ON.
Location: Timmins, ON
Shift: 7x7
Wages: $38.14 - $43.58, additional premiums may be available

Your Role
- Assist Journeyperson Welders with repairing and fabrication of various makes of equipment
- Following directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders
- Assist with conducting failure analysis and developing a welding repair process
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent combinations of education and experience
- 1-2 years of industry related experience
- Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to adhere to and maintain workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to keep accurate records and measurements.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong focus on providing valuable customer service.
- Forklift training, WHMIS and TDG training certifications are an asset.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Ability to meet customer site access requirements, including:
- Pre-employment medical examination
- Drug & alcohol check
- Driver’s abstract
- Employment verification
