Account Manager Department: Operations Reports To: Senior Director of Operations Supports/Manages: Site Supervisors and frontline personnel, where applicable

About the Role Guardteck is seeking an Account Manager to support client relationships, contract performance, and service delivery across assigned client sites. This is a client-facing operations role suited for someone who enjoys building strong client partnerships, supporting site teams, and keeping account operations organized and on track. The Account Manager will work closely with clients, site supervisors, frontline teams, operations leadership, finance, and internal support teams to ensure consistent service delivery, strong communication, and accountability across the portfolio. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, responsive, and solutions-focused, with the ability to balance client service, employee support, financial oversight, and operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities Client Relations and Account Management Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, site visits, and client meetings. Act as a primary point of contact for client communication, service updates, and account-related concerns. Ensure contract deliverables are consistently met, including staffing levels, patrol requirements, reporting standards, and site-specific expectations. Track and report on key performance indicators, including staffing compliance, incident response times, audit results, and client-specific metrics. Respond to client concerns and escalations in a timely, professional, and solutions-focused manner. Facilitate quarterly or annual business reviews to review performance, service delivery, and opportunities for improvement.

Site Leadership and Team Support Support and mentor site supervisors and team leads to help ensure strong leadership at the site level. Conduct regular site visits to review performance, morale, compliance, and service standards. Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to site leadership and frontline teams. Partner with operations leadership and recruitment teams to support staffing, coverage, retention, and service consistency. Ensure post orders are clearly understood, communicated, and followed by site personnel. Work with operations leadership to address site concerns, staffing gaps, performance issues, and service delivery challenges.

Financial and Administrative Oversight Monitor site budgets and support financial performance across assigned accounts. Ensure account activity aligns with financial targets, contract expectations, and approved scope of work. Complete Client Request Forms for scope changes, additional coverage, or service adjustments. Track billing issues, invoice discrepancies, and disputed charges. Work with finance and internal teams to resolve billing concerns and support collections when needed.

Operational Support and Continuous Improvement Participate in regular operations meetings and provide updates on assigned accounts. Support the rollout of new processes, service improvements, and client-specific initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, client satisfaction, staffing consistency, and operational performance. Participate in committees, special projects, and operational initiatives as assigned.

What We’re Looking For Strong customer service and client relationship management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience supporting teams, supervisors, or frontline employees. Strong problem-solving skills, judgment, and attention to detail. Ability to manage conflict, client concerns, and operational issues professionally. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-based operations environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Experience with WinTeam or similar systems is considered an asset. Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with no restrictions. Diploma in Business, Justice Studies, or a related field is considered an asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Compensation Guardteck’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 annually. Final base salary will be determined based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
