About the role
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and nutrition-focused Kitchen Manager/Cook to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the health and development of young children by providing safe, nutritious, and well-balanced meals each day.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen (childcare, school, or institutional setting preferred)
Formal education or certification in Dietetics, Nutrition, or Food & Nutrition Management
Thorough knowledge of childhood nutrition requirements
Demonstrated experience managing food allergies and dietary restrictions
Valid Food Handler Certification
Strong understanding of public health and sanitation standards
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement rotating menus that meet Canada's Food Guide recommendations for young children
Prepare nutritious morning snacks, lunches, and afternoon snacks daily
Develop and maintain individualized meal plans for children with allergies, intolerances, cultural, religious, or medical dietary needs
Strictly follow allergy protocols and cross-contamination prevention procedures
Ensure compliance with Ministry and Public Health regulations
Manage food ordering, inventory control, and kitchen budget
Maintain accurate documentation related to dietary restrictions and food safety
Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and inspection-ready at all times

For 30 years, All About Kids has provided evaluations, individual and group therapy services, consultations, and service coordination for children. All About Kids’ comprehensive offering of services and programs addresses all facets of a child’s development and allows for better team coordinated and individualized treatment. We provide early intervention, preschool, school age, and autism services privately as well as through the New York State public funded EI, CPSE, and District CSE programs including the NYCDOE. We are proud of our history of 30 years of outstanding program and fiscal audit reviews.
