Purpose of Position:

To supervise and manage performance of the local Stores department ensuring customer requirements are met in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer all related sections of the Union collective agreement.
  • Ensure Stores staff obtain all required initial and recurrent training specific to the department as well as general training promoted for all employees and maintain records of such training.
  • Ensure all dangerous goods are packaged in accordance with regulations including IATA and CARS as well as ensuring appropriate Dangerous Goods documentation is maintained on file.
  • Maintain organized and auditable records of customs documentation.
  • Ensure all WHMIS controlled substances are received and handled in accordance with regulation.
  • Monitor trouble shooting items in Receiving and Q-Stores ensuring no back logs accumulate.
  • Ensuring Trax related transactions are maintained in the computer on a daily basis and audited for compliance.
  • Ensure all receiving discrepancies are logged/entered in Trax and are followed up with till closure.
  • General stores warehousing organization standards are maintained.
  • Conduct annual physical counts or perpetual counts of company inventory.
  • Resolve any inventory discrepancies found by investigating and updating the computer system.
  • Conduct self-Audits to ensure compliance with Transport Canada audits.
  • Monitor Tool, Shelf life expiry & component constraint reports for continuous compliance.
  • Maintain the security of the Inventory and stores warehouse ensuring that no unauthorized personnel have access to stores or are left unescorted while inside controlled stores areas.
  • Ensure all Stores staff have complete understanding of procedures to ensure compliance with Transport Canada requirements.
  • Ensure all Certification Documents are filed in an organized & auditable fashion and protected from loss or damage.
  • Liaise with other stores bases to ensure consistent support.
  • Support the utilization of new technologies such as POU & Vendor consolidation.
  • Address individual performance issues as they arise following standard Jazz performance management practices.
  • Communicate all relevant and non-confidential information to staff.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary (Diploma).

  • Certificate in Warehouse & Logistic Support (Preferred).

  • Certificate in Cars Regulations (Preferred).

  • Must possess training certification (Dangerous Goods).

  • Must possess WHMIS certification.

  • Valid Forklift/Lifting equipment certification.

  • Minimum 5 years warehouse management and staff supervision.

  • Advance MS Office Skills.

  • Minimum 5 years stores related experience.

Note: Bilingualism (English and French) is required to work in Montreal.
