Overview
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge criminological research within a collaborative and dynamic research environment. The successful candidate will engage in the design, coordination, and execution of research projects, applying advanced methodologies to generate meaningful insights.
You will work closely with a principal investigator and a research team, providing technical expertise. The position also involves presenting findings, fostering research collaborations, and contributing to publications, seminars, and conferences.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about advancing knowledge in criminology, with strong research skills and an interest in producing high-quality, impactful research outputs.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate research projects and experimental protocols in collaboration with the principal investigator and research team.
- Determine appropriate research methodologies, procedures, and analytical techniques to ensure high-quality data collection and outcomes.
- Conduct advanced quantitative and/or qualitative data collection and analysis related to criminological issues.
- Modify research protocols as required to meet project objectives and evolving research needs.
- Review and interpret relevant scholarly literature to inform research design and contextualize findings.
- Summarize research findings and prepare reports, manuscripts, briefing notes, and other scholarly outputs.
- Present research findings at internal meetings, seminars, and external conferences as appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance.
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, institutional policies, and relevant research regulations.
- Contribute to funding applications and support efforts to maintain and expand research partnerships.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Criminology or a related discipline.
- Some related research experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of criminological issues and research.
- Experience in research writing.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant scientific theory, principles, and research practices.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment within general guidelines and in collaboration with a principal investigator.
