What to Expect:

You will be main point of contact for all accounts payable inquiries from both employees and suppliers, ensuring timely processing and payment of supplier invoices. Oversee the expense reporting process by handling approved claims and releasing payments promptly to employees.

A day in the life of a Accounts Payable Specialist

  • Process accounts payable invoices in collaboration with Nestle Business Services (NBS).
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Address issues related to unpaid invoices with suppliers.
  • Work with employees to resolve unapproved invoices.
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding duplicate payments or payments made in error that require reimbursement or issuing of a credit note.
  • Prepare the weekly batch payment run.
  • Apply for supplier credit when necessary.
  • Complete month-end and year-end tasks involving purchase orders and intercompany invoices.
  • Follow up with employees regarding overdue corporate credit card accounts and outstanding expense reports.
  • Respond to inquiries, resolve problems, and provide overall support to employees for invoice matching, approvals, and the expense reporting tool.

Role Requirements

  • Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related area
  • Strong service orientation
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Analytical with attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Suite Office
  • Experience of a range of ERPs an advantage
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
