Grasslands Public Schools is seeking applications for bus drivers for multiple routes across the district
Job Duties And Responsibilities
under strict safety protocols, follow a route to transport students to and from school and bus stops, on time; ensure that students follow safety protocols while on the bus; perform routine cleaning and sanitizing on the bus; and as required, communicate with parents
Ideal Candidate Skills & Abilities
Punctual and organized Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to problem solve and address challenging situations Able to work in efficiently while upholding safety protocols Able to work in loud and sometimes crowded environments Work as a team with all co-workers to achieve an efficient, productive working environment On a daily basis, able to perform tasks that may be physically demanding that includes but not limited to; climbing and balancing; stooping, kneeling, bending, turning, and reaching; lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing; and, prolonged sitting
weather and terrain appropriate shoes/boots and outerwear are required to perform this job safely
Preferred Education And Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum Requirement is a Valid class 5 Non Graduated Driver’s License
Training is available for successful candidates
Successful applicants will be required to submit before start date:
Current Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
Original document reported within the last 6 months of hire date; condition of employment
Applicants cannot work before a clear CRC with VSC has been provided and approved* Clean drivers abstract Class 2 Medical

Grasslands Regional Division #6 covers an area of over 2 500 square miles in south-eastern Alberta. Brooks, at its centre, is approximately 180 km south-east of Calgary and 110 km north-west of Medicine Hat, on Highway #1. Lethbridge is 160 km south-west of Highways #36 and #3.
Grasslands Regional Division operates thirteen schools and seven Hutterite colony schools.
