Job Description Over View As a member of the Marketing Team, the Social Media & Content Coordinator, Calgary, 1 Year Contract, is responsible for curating Brookfield Residential’s brand across key digital platforms, including social media channels and blogs. This role stays current on emerging trends and brings a diverse skill set to create engaging content that supports our brand story and drives interest in our communities and homes. Content is a key pillar of how we connect with audiences and tell our story. The Coordinator ensures organic content aligns with broader marketing initiatives, connects our online voice to our brand and complements paid strategies to maximize overall campaign impact. Responsibilities include executing Brookfield Residential’s content strategy, managing the day-to-day oversight of social media channels, creating and distributing campaign assets, and supporting integrated marketing planning. The role helps grow and engage our audiences, positioning Brookfield as a trusted advisor and community connector while highlighting the unique and differentiated features of our communities and projects. This position also plays a key role in online reputation and issues management, driving positive reviews across platforms such as Google and Facebook, and responding promptly to both positive and negative feedback to strengthen brand sentiment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the annual content strategy in partnership with the broader Marketing team
  • Identify, monitor, and evaluate emerging social media trends and best practices that support Brookfield Residential’s brand and brand voice
  • Contribute to ongoing strategic planning and future enhancements across Brookfield’s social media channels
  • Generate, source, and publish weekly content and posts that align with Brookfield Residential’s brand and communications strategy Integrate organic content with paid media campaigns, focusing on business plan priorities, events, promotions, and advertising initiatives
  • Align and coordinate content with Calgary HOA/RA social channels to maintain brand and messaging consistency
  • Capture video and photography and support editing for organic channels and adapt content for paid media as needed.
  • Source, engage, and collaborate with community residents, stakeholders, and homeowners to generate content that supports storytelling, brand awareness, and audience engagement

What You'll Bring

  • 2 + years of Marketing and/or Communications experience
  • Diploma or post-secondary degree with a specialty in Marketing or Communications
  • Social media and content marketing experience
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms, blogs, podcasts (Facebook, Tik Tok Instagram, etc.)
  • Proven written communication with attention to detail and superior grammar skills
  • Knowledgeable about current and emerging technology and reporting options
  • Photography and video creation and editing skills are an asset
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, CapCut, and other social platform editing software (Canva is an asset) and Illustrator competent
