About Canopy

Canopy is a solutions-driven not-for-profit that partners with the world’s largest brands, producers, and innovators to protect the world’s forests, species, and climate. We collaborate with global brands to shift supply chains, primarily in fashion viscose and packaging, from the ‘take-make-waste’ model toward low-impact, circular alternatives - what we call Next Generation Solutions. Next Gen solutions use what is normally burned (agricultural residues) or landfilled (waste textiles) to make packaging and fashion fabrics like rayon and viscose.

The Role

We are seeking a creative and experienced Digital Specialist to join our Impact-Communications team for a 3 ½ month coverage contract . In this role, you will help maintain momentum on key campaigns, especially our Next Gen Solutions work and Landscapes of Hope initiatives, by leading digital storytelling, content creation, and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Content and Storytelling: Create compelling digital content (social media, web, presentation decks, reports) that advances campaign goals.
  • Campaign Support: Deliver communications outputs for campaign launches.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project deadlines, deliverables, and budget.
  • Website and Presentation Management: Update Canopy’s website and design materials to align with brand identity.
  • Leuser Ecosystem Campaign Support: Develop creative digital assets and help coordinate coalition partner messaging.
  • Collaboration: Contribute to the Impact-Communications team with updates, best practices, and feedback.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in communications, digital media, or campaign strategy.
  • Strong writing and digital skills, with experience across multiple platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, edit, and manage digital assets.
  • Ability to use design software such as Adobe and Canva.
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to deliver high-quality outputs on tight timelines.
  • Experience in NGO environments, or fashion-related campaigns is an asset.

  • Smooth rollout of website and presentation updates with minimal revisions.
  • Clear and compelling digital storytelling on Canopy’s social media channels and website that supports campaign goals.
