About the role
The Laundry Attendant contributes to the overall success of the hotel by fulfilling Coast's expectations of superior customer service and quality standards of cleanliness by ensuring adequate supplies of clean linens and related items are available for distribution at the hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Replenishes stock and clean linens, by picking up, washing and drying linens, towels and bathrobes according to Coast Hotels efficiency and cleanliness standards,
- May wash and prepare uniforms for ambassadors, and separate out any soiled, torn or badly worn linen for possible discard
- Cleans back-of-house areas of the property, by taking out garbage, stripping and waxing floors, reporting any deficiencies to the housekeeping manager so appropriate work orders can be filed with maintenance
- Stocks supplies and maintains inventory levels within the assigned area
- Responds to guest requests for extra or additional amenities or items
- Acts as an ambassador, including making guests feel welcome and handling basic inquiries
- Demonstrates a superior customer service attitude with internal/external contacts
- Other duties as required
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Physical mobility and stamina
- Professional attitude
- Detail-oriented
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous customer service experience
