As the Senior Technical Analyst, you will work mostly on PeopleSoft Finance and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) modules and on Human Capital Management (HCM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and PeopleSoft Interaction Hub, as needed. You will build and support customizations, interfaces and reports using PeopleSoft tools and technology, and related 3rd party tools like Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher. Primary duties include:

  • Review and/or gather requirements, propose and design a solution that will meet the business needs and timelines, while ensuring that the solution uses approved tools, techniques and follows corporate standards.
  • Work with the Application Analysts and the business to validate and confirm the requirements.
  • Create technical design documentation.
  • Perform unit and functional testing.
  • Provide PeopleSoft advice and recommendations to the business and IT and, where applicable, suggest changes to established methods, tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • A completed 2 year diploma in Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Math or Engineering, supplemented by formal systems development training with at least 5 years of systems development experience ; OR
  • A degree in Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Math or Engineering with at least 3 years of systems development.
  • At least 3 years of PeopleSoft development experience in PeopleTools 8.60+, and PeopleSoft development tools including PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interface, SQR's, and BI Publisher.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, web services and a solid foundation in software development methods, practices and procedures will be considered assets.
  • You are able to work independently, acquire new knowledge and skills quickly, and apply your analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Success in this position requires strong communications skills and the ability to relay information in both technical and non-technical formats.

Pre-employment Requirements

  • A security clearance will be conducted.
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.

Workstyle: This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Compensation: Pay Grade 13 $49.32 - 66.00 per hour

Out of schedule rates: $61.32 - 74.53 per hour.
This position is presently paid at an Out of Schedule rate

to reflect current market conditions. Should market

conditions change, the salary may be reviewed and

may revert to the base rate.

Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day

work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
