Department Overview
Service Assurance Operations – Host/TDI Operations is a 7/24/365 Service Availability (Multi-Site Coverage) department responsible for providing frontline support and monitoring of the Banks critical batch environment. The primary focus of the team is surveillance of the banking environment, as well as reacting to any/all anomalies that are presented through a variety of monitoring tools: System Automation, IBM personal communications, ServiceNow, Omegamon, Automated Workflow, Control-M, SharePoint, TotalView, and xMatters. Host Operations monitors and supports the Information Management System (IMS), Customer Information Control System (CICS), as well as the physical Direct Access Storage Devices (DASDs) and Automated Tape Libraries (ATLs).
The successful candidate will work in an area focused on supporting one of the following:
z/OS Infrastructure monitoring. z/OS Batch processing Distributed environment and network monitoring (TD Insurance Operations) AS/400 Batch processing
We are looking for self-motivated and focused individuals who enjoy a fast paced environment requiring attention to detail.
Incident Management
Effectively handle incident management for outages; effectively communicate to clients during service outages and ensure that they are resolved efficiently with minimal impact to stakeholders Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible or occurring issues/problems, options and recommendations for prompt resolution Resolution of customer / client requests
Change Management
Provide effective change management discipline, ensuring stability to the production environment May perform testing according to test plans, monitor and report on results, and work with others on problem resolution Support the installation, configuration, upgrade of business applications/systems in coordination with appropriate stakeholders
The department is 24/7/365, operating 12hr shifts on rotating basis (including holidays), rotating shift hours are 7am to 7pm, and 7pm to 7am.
