About the role

THE OPPORTUNITY

Western Forest Products is looking for an Infrastructure Support Analyst to join our IT Team team based in Vancouver or Nanaimo/Campbell River**.**

What You’ll Do: Reporting to Manager, IT Infrastructure, Infrastructure Support Analyst provides tier 2 and 3 support for network and firewall systems, participates in major system changes, and ensures security and reliability across infrastructure.

You are a detail-oriented IT professional with a strong foundation in networking and security. What We Offer:

  • Salary range of $75,000 – $90,000 based on skill level, qualifications, and experience

Work Environment: This position can be based either out of our Vancouver, Nanaimo or Campbell River offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide 3rd level support for Windows systems and applications
  • Support Wide Area & LAN Network Administration
  • Maintain System Security Controls and perform troubleshooting & diagnostics
  • Assist with hardware support and data communications
  • Plan and deliver major system changes, capacity management, and problem resolution
  • Travel to remote locations as required for support or projects

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Experience in IT Infrastructure with specialization in networking
  • Post-secondary education in computer science or related discipline

Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Tier 2 support experience and ability to mentor junior resources
  • Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities
  • Expertise in Cisco routing, VPN connectivity, and firewall security
  • Experience with Windows Server deployments and virtualization
  • Knowledge of network best practices, policies, and standards
