Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Supervisor! Location: Toronto, ON
Pay Rate: $21.85/hour (Full-Time)
About The Role Paladin Security is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Supervisor to oversee operations at North York General Hospital (Finch). This role provides an excellent opportunity to lead a healthcare security team while ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills who can provide guidance, coaching, and accountability to a team of Security Guards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to Security staff
- Ensure standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out on every shift
- Enforce compliance with all Paladin Security and site-specific policies
- Plan and implement staff work schedules
- Ensure Security Guards receive all mandatory training
- Motivate and recognize staff; issue commendations where appropriate
- Manage staff discipline and ensure proper documentation is sent to head office
- Perform security audits and ensure compliance standards are met
- Document and investigate security incidents and complaints
- Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols as needed
- Liaise with Client Service Manager and hospital staff to ensure operational demands are met
Requirements
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB approved)
- Proof of two doses of COVID-19 vaccination
- Up-to-date immunization records (Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and two-step Tuberculosis skin test)
- Valid Ontario G class driver's license
- Willingness to complete N95 Mask Fit Test during training
- Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare supervisory experience (preferred)
- Proven ability to train, direct, and motivate staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
