The Northern Alberta Development Bursary Program offers financial support to students enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies for the upcoming academic year – September 2026 to August 2027.
Northern Alberta Development (NAD) Bursary
This bursary closes on May 15th, 2026
Students can access up to $7,000 in financial aid
Must be enrolled in a 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma program, or; The last 2 years of a degree program
Specialty Bursaries
This bursary closes on May 15th, 2026
Students enrolled in Medical or Dentistry can access up to $14,000
Students enrolled in Nurse Practitioner program can access up to $10,500 Students enrolled in Pharmacy or Veterinary programs can access up to $7,000 Students can be in any year of specialty program studies
First Nations, Metis and Inuit (FNMI) Bursary Intake 1
This bursary closes on June 1, 2026
Indigenous students can access up to $7,000 for a certificate or diploma program or up to $11,500 for a degree program Students can be in any year of studies

About Conklin Resource Development Advisory Committee
Conklin is a community in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (“RMWB”). The community is primarily Métis people who can trace their history to the late nineteenth century. The community is recognized as a “Métis Harvesting Community” in the Government of Alberta Métis Harvesting Policy and continues to actively promote their unique Métis culture through organizations such as the Conklin Métis Local 193 (“CML #193”) and the Conklin Community Association (“CCA”).
CRDAC, a Society under the Societies Act, is a not-for-profit organization consisting of an appointed Board of Directors from the CCA and CML #193. The CRDAC Board is recognized as a policy governing board. The CRDAC is the voice of the Conklin community and a one-window interface for Government and Industry to engage with the community of Conklin on social, environmental, cultural, and economic interests.
