About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Licensed Optician to join our dynamic and growing optical team in Waterloo. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care, has a strong eye for style, and enjoys helping patients find the perfect eyewear solutions tailored to their lifestyle.

You’ll play a key role in creating a seamless, high-end patient experience—from frame selection to final fitting—while working closely with our optometrists and team.

What You’ll Do

• Guide patients in selecting frames and lenses based on prescription, lifestyle, and personal style
• Take precise measurements (PD, segment height) and ensure accurate fittings
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and proper eyewear care
• Verify prescriptions and process orders with a high level of accuracy
• Perform adjustments, repairs, and basic lab work (edging/mounting considered an asset)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing dispensary
• Deliver a high level of customer service and manage retail transactions
• Collaborate with optometrists and team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Oversee frame inventory, merchandising, and stock levels
• Work with frame representatives to review and select new collections
• Contribute to frame buying and assortment planning to keep the optical fresh and on-trend

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed Optician in Ontario (or eligible for registration)
• Previous experience in optical or retail sales
• Strong sales ability with a consultative, patient-first approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
• Experience with optical systems and equipment preferred
• Retail or inventory management experience is an asset

• Tuesday to Saturday
• One evening shift
