Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment Analyst (13-month contract)
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to fill the role of a Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) Analyst. This position is offered as a 13-month fixed-term contract.
The incumbent will work with internal/external partners by providing insight to improve the overall national forecasts and replenishment of inventory. This individual will have opportunities to be involved in benchmarking and assessing best practices. There will also be opportunities to identify and lead improvement projects, which include integrated demand planning efforts, incorporating more advanced forecasting methodologies, as well as focusing on refining and optimizing the overall CPFR function.
Requirements:
- Key point of contact for customer's Replenishment team, attend face to face meetings as necessary to accomplish objectives.
- Work with Sales, Supply Chain and Customer to address behaviors that drive inefficiency and / or unnecessary cost into supply chain activities.
- Track and report to Senior Leadership status on programs/shipments including execution timing.
- Responsible for accurately forecasting a segment of the overall business (both base business and promotional items) and ensuring all internal and customer metrics met or exceeded.
- Continuously improve accuracy of monthly gross shipments forecasting, through gathering data and insights from all pertinent internal and external sources.
- Support growth plans such as product launches, promotions, and in-store events.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and/or minimize lost sales by focusing on store specific tactics.
- Execute value-added services to drive competitive advantage and improved effectiveness.
- Execute flexible, low-cost supply chain options that lowers cost-to-serve.
- Troubleshoot coverage plans and supply disruptions on an on-going basis.
- Review the forecasting, sales capability, inventory, and service KPI’s for alignment with purpose of meeting targets.
- Monitor and report on performance scorecards (monthly/quarterly)
- Use both analytical ability and communication skills to solve opportunities.
- Keep current on industry trends and initiatives.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of Customer Collaboration, Planning and Forecasting experience is an asset in a CPG or Retail environment.
- Extensive analytical skills, effective communication & presentation skills.
- Technical knowledge of applications such as SAP, Cognos, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
- Possesses the ability to quickly learn customer systems.
- Results and performance driven with drive for action and a sense of urgency on priorities.
- Strong interpersonal, interdependent partnering skills, collaboration competencies, within and across organizations.
- Big picture thinking: looking for areas of improvement to create growth and joint value for our customer.
