Job Summary

An experienced Azure Senior Engineer to design, implement, secure, automate, and support enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure infrastructure, networking, security, DevOps, automation, and cloud governance while working closely with architects, developers, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Services

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions.
• Build highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments.
• Implement Azure landing zones and cloud governance frameworks.
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and Storage Accounts.
• Configure Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.

Security & Compliance

• Implement Azure security best practices and Zero Trust principles.
• Manage Azure Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, RBAC, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
• Implement Microsoft Defender for Cloud and security monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Automation & DevOps

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using: o Terraform o Bicep o ARM Templates
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using: o Azure DevOps o GitHub Actions
• Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and scripting.

Monitoring & Operations

• Monitor Azure environments using: o Azure Monitor o Log Analytics o Application Insights o Microsoft Sentinel
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and security issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Networking

• Design and manage: o Azure Virtual Networks o ExpressRoute o VPN Gateways o NSGs o Private Endpoints o DNS services
• Ensure secure hybrid connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments.

Cost Optimization

• Monitor and optimize Azure resource utilization.
• Implement FinOps practices for cloud cost management.
• Provide recommendations to reduce operational expenses.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor junior engineers and cloud administrators.
• Participate in cloud transformation projects.
• Work with application teams to modernize workloads.
• Create technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent work experience may be considered.

Experience

• 8+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Azure cloud experience.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise cloud deployments.
• Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements.

Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per annum
