Education: Master's degree. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Private practice. Tasks: Conduct audiometric tests and examinations. Follow up with patients to ensure assigned remedial programs are correctly followed and completed. Supervise technical and support staff. Diagnose the degree and type of hearing impairment. Plan and implement habilitation/rehabilitation programs. Provide information to patients and families regarding the nature, extent, impact and implications of hearing loss and treatment. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists Certification. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
