About the role
As a Solid Waste Operator, you will collect, transport, and dispose of residential waste using manual carts and automated side loading garbage packers. Working with minimal supervision and reporting to a Crew Lead, you play a key role in keeping Regina clean by operating equipment safely, interacting respectfully with the public, and ensuring routes are completed efficiently and in line with safety standards. What You Bring - Valid Class 3 Drivers License with air endorsement and experience operating heavy equipment- Strong safety mindset with the ability to work independently and follow routes and regulations- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in all weather conditions and handle heavy materials- Clear communication skills with the confidence to guide and support crew members What We Offer - Steady, meaningful work that supports the community every day- Competitive compensation and opportunities for overtime- Training and certifications to support your success and growth- A safety focused team environment with modern equipment Benefits of working at the City of Regina We offer a competitive wage and benefits package, ongoing training, and employee recognition programs.
