As a Senior Network Administrator, you will provide deep technical expertise across network and communications hardware, software, security, and operations. You’ll lead the design, installation, and optimization of network and security architectures, ensuring stability, resilience, and scalability of the Home’s IT infrastructure. Led by the Network Manager, this role suits a collaborative professional with strong technical depth and a passion for building secure, reliable connectivity.

- Design and implement best practice solutions for short and long-term strategic plans to make certain that network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
- Monitor and analyze network performance across the organization’s LAN’s, WAN’s and wireless deployments, ensuring the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks, including remote access and security perimeter.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend for purchase networking hardware and software products.
- Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex network and security problems for a variety of end users and recommend and implement corrective hardware and software solutions, including off-site repairs.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures and associated training for network resource administration and appropriate use along with establishing connectivity and uptime service level agreements.
- Provide off-hour support on a rotation basis for the corporate network infrastructure.
We’re looking for:
- Bachelors or Diploma in Network Administration or Information Technology. CCNP, CISSP, GSEC certifications are an asset.
- A minimum of three to five years of proven experience in a senior network administration position.
- Hands-on expertise with on-premise and cloud networking as well as telecommunications technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Silver Peak technologies.
- Knowledge of SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS), as well as DNS, QoS, VLAN's, LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Fibre, LDAP, iPSec, NAT/PAT, Active Directory, cloud computing, telecommunications and wireless technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network management and security tools, including SNMP, firewalls, load balancers, and IPS/ISE products.
- Experience with scripting and automation using BASH, Python, or PowerShell.
- Proven success in complex network infrastructure design and optimization.
- Excellent customer service skills, self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Effective priority management skills with the ability to work well in a high-pressure environment.
- Skilled at translating technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language, including use of Microsoft Office and MS Visio.
- Ability and availability to provide extended hours and off-hour support.
- The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
