(TEMPORARY FULL TIME - 12 - 15 MONTHS CONTRACT)
Riverview Medical Group (RMG) offers the opportunity to join a community-based primary health care team serving Fergus, Elora and Arthur areas. We are looking for a talented team player to join us.
Position Summary:
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) will collaborate with the family physicians, OB/GYNE and other interdisciplinary providers.
The RPN reports to the Office Manager and is responsible for working within the full scope of practice set out by the CNO. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, organized, and have strong time management skills, excellent communication skills, and willing to grow within our practice. This role requires a high level of interpersonal skills to interact with patients and their families.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- 
Certification of registration in good standing as an RPN with CNO 
- 
RPNAO (insurance) member preferred 
- 
Current CPR certification 
- 
Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to own method of reliable transportation 
- 
Experience in primary care, long-term care or hospital setting preferred 
- 
Able to function as a team player 
- 
Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills 
- 
Positive attitude 
- 
Working knowledge of MAC/Apple 
- 
Proficiency in TELUM EMR system is an asset 
- 
Apply recognized clinical practice guidelines and best practices to screening, monitoring and assessment of patient's physical and emotional well-being 
- 
Knowledge and experience working collaboratively with community resources 
- 
On-going participation in professional development 
- 
Occasional after-hours support as required 
Skills and Abilities:
- 
Demonstrate an understanding of chronic disease management and patient self-care strategies 
- 
Ability to keep confidential information regarding patients, health care providers, employees, business operations and clinic/team functioning 
- 
Professionalism displayed through mannerisms, attire and response to stressful situations 
- 
Problem solving skills to identify and effectively set priorities and complete tasks within agreed upon timeframes 
This is a temporary contract.
