We are looking for an Inventory Planner – Procurement & Supply Chain to play a key role in optimizing our OEM and manufacturing operations.
Your mission:
Align inventory with production and demand, optimize material availability, reduce Days on Hand (DOH), and directly contribute to the organization’s financial performance.
You will actively contribute to:
- Enhancing inventory planning processes
- Developing dashboards and performance tracking tools
- Proactively analyzing demand and supplier risks

POSITION SUMMARY
The Inventory Planner – Procurement & Supply Chain is responsible for the planning, control, and optimization of inventory levels supporting OEM and manufacturing operations.
The incumbent ensures alignment between procurement activities, production plans, sales forecasts, and customer demand, in accordance with the organization’s operational and financial objectives. The role aims to maintain optimal material availability while controlling working capital and minimizing inventory-related risks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent shall:
- Plan and adjust inventory levels based on forecasts, production requirements, and customer commitments.
- Maintain inventory targets established by the organization, including Days on Hand (DOH) objectives.
- Analyze discrepancies between actual and target inventory levels and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Create and monitor purchase orders in accordance with identified requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and continuity of supply.
- Monitor inventory performance indicators, including stock-outs, excess inventory, and purchase order compliance.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the ERP system (JD Edwards is considered an asset).
- Prepare reports to support decision-making processes and participate in S&OP activities, as applicable.
- Identify risks related to demand fluctuations or supplier lead times and propose mitigation measures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and standardization of planning processes.
The incumbent may be required to perform any other related duties consistent with the nature of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University or college degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in inventory planning or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with an ERP system; JD Edwards is considered a strong asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of business intelligence tools is an asset.
- Solid understanding of inventory management concepts, including safety stock and reorder points.
