The Opportunity:

The Office of the CEO supports the CEO in advancing Vancity’s strategy and enabling delivery on the organization’s key priorities. We’re looking for several interns to join our team for a 4-month opportunity:

  • Two (2) Interns will report to the Chief of Staff to the CEO, supporting internal initiatives related to strategy delivery, executive and senior leadership alignment, and CEO driven communications and events.
  • Two (2) Interns will report to the Advisor to the CEO, supporting external initiatives that advance Vancity’s presence and thought leadership in the marketplace and communities.

A typical day would involve:

  • Supporting day‑to‑day work of the Office of the CEO by coordinating materials, tracking actions, and following up on next steps for executive priorities
  • Assisting with planning and delivery of internal and external events, including agendas, logistics, briefing materials, and post‑event follow‑up
  • Contributing to project work by maintaining trackers, coordinating inputs from multiple teams, and helping ensure initiatives stay on track
  • Conducting background research and helping draft summaries, presentations, or briefing notes to support decision‑making
  • Collaborating closely with the Advisor to the CEO, Chief of Staff to the CEO, Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO, and partners across the organization

You are:

-Organized & detail‑oriented– You are highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities, track logistics, and ensure work is delivered accurately and on time. -Strong communicator– You communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally, tailoring messages to different audiences and ensuring information is shared effectively and thoughtfully. -Team player– You collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross‑functional partners, build positive working relationships, and contribute constructively to shared goals and initiatives. -Critical thinker & problem solver– You approach challenges with an analytical mindset, assess information carefully, and develop thoughtful, well‑reasoned solutions. -Curious & results‑focused– You bring a learning‑oriented mindset, seek opportunities to improve how work gets done, and stay focused on delivering meaningful outcomes.

You have:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program within an applicable field and eligible for co-op/internship opportunities (i.e. business management or administration)
  • An interest in event planning and coordination
  • A willingness to work in a highly flexible environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing, synthesis, and editing skills
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail

Bonus points, if you have:

  • Excellent PowerPoint or presentation‑building skills
  • Experience in event planning and coordination

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a pay range of $27.85/hr.
