About the role
Position Summary
Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Administrative Assistant to support the GoHealth department.
In accordance with vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health and reporting to the Director/Executive Lead or designate, the Administrative Assistant provides confidential administrative assistance and secretarial support to the Director/Executive Lead or designate and programs/services throughout the applicable Health Service Delivery Area (HSDA)/Region or Corporate Department of Northern Health (NH). Triages information of a sensitive and confidential nature, coordinates the flow of information, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of administrative services, and keeps the Director/Executive lead or designate apprised of issues and activities. Interacts primarily with director/managers and their administrative support staff throughout the HSDA/Region and across NH to professionally represent the Director’s/Executive Lead interests, share information, clarify details and answer questions. Works independently and communicates with internal and external stakeholders/customers in a manner that promotes positive and respectful relationships.
Starting salary will be approximately from $49,445 to $61,806 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Qualifications

Graduation from a recognized administrative assistant/secretarial post-secondary program plus three
-
(3) years of senior administrative support experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to handle multiple, complex and competing priorities.
-
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
-
Ability to handle confidential information.
-
Intermediate to advanced skills using a variety of computerized software packages such Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook, MS Teams), related databases and ability to navigate the internet efficiently.

Ability to keyboard at 40 w.p.m.
-
Excellent time management skills to prioritize and complete assignments in a manner that optimizes departmental effectiveness and contributes to organizational success.

Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills.
