Join us as**Bid Sub-System Manager, Interiors Development Center (CDS),**and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in St-Bruno, Canada.

AsBid Sub-System Managerof the Interiors Components Development Site (CDS), you will be responsible for the preparation of the tenders and for the management of the commitments in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery ( QCD) for every bids of the CDS Interiors. You will deliver winning proposals, with a defined scope, accurate QCD commitments, in a timely manner, and in line with Alstom strategy and within the defined tender budget.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • During pre-tendering (when relevant):
    • Co-ordinate internal activities to identify and understand Customer's needs
    • Promote the Company and its product
    • Co-ordinate with the Project internal activities to influence Customer Specification
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Alstom tender rules & instructions
  • Manage the CDS Interiors tender budget
  • Agree with the Bid Manager, Platform(s) and sub-system strategy owner, on Interiors solution to be offered
    • Answer to the IFQ for the scope of the CDS Interiors
    • Manage interface with bid teams (in charge of architecture and integration) and other Sub-System teams, proposing global optimizations as needed
    • Agree with the Bid Manager and Platform how technical gaps are addressed
    • Ensure opportunity watch to identify ideas/ technologies used on other projects/tenders.
  • Manage Quality, Cost, Time (QCD) optimization and obtain clear commitments from different actors
    • Identify, analyze, and evaluate QCD gaps & manage the QCD review for the interiors scope
    • Define interfaces and allocate the cost targets between the different actors (Engineering, Procurement, Project Management , Quality, Industrial, etc.)
    • Check and challenge contributor’s commitments
    • Consolidate commitments
    • Prepare tender progress reviews with CDS Interiors Mngt Team
  • Organize risks & oppertunity reviews and ensure the elaboration of mitigation plans
  • Prepare and maintain updated risk & savings registers
  • Contribute & prepare the documentation necessary to submit to the Project team and Customer
  • Keep records of all documentation produced for tender preparation (RFP, Q&A, Presentations, letters, contract …) and traceability until contract signature (Tender Logbook)

Contribute to return on experience at the end of each tender through the Win-Loss Analysis in liaison with Tender Leader

AS OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE :

  • You have a Bachelor degree (Engineering, Finance, et)
  • Strong technical background in Interiors for the transportation industry
  • Sufficient knowledge of financial (rules to build consolidated costs), contractual and legal (obligations, penalties, etc.) aspects to be able to interface with internal relevant parties, and assess impacts on costing
  • High capability to manage efficient team working to produce the tender deliverables within a limited time period and under stressful conditions
  • Strong communications skills, reporting capabilities
  • Sense of anticipation
  • Negotiation skills; Customer oriented
