We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Manager, Finance& Treasury to join our team based out of our Head Office in downtown Toronto. In this role, you will report to the Director, Finance& Treasury and will be responsible for cash management and forecasting globally. In this role, you will lead cash management initiatives, manage the flow of funds for transaction activity, support system improvements of our Treasury Management System (“TMS”), and lead initiatives to improve process efficiency and internal controls. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
- Global Transaction Support
- Supporting global transaction activity as Treasury’s key liaison between internal / external stakeholders, providing direction on funding strategy and funds flow;
- Reviewing the flow of funds for global real estate transactions and supporting the team on funding, cash repatriation and Treasury-related inquiries as required
- Global Cash Management Platform
- Assisting the Director with improvements to Oxford’s global cash management platform;
- Overseeing funding calls for operational and transactional cash needs; as well as draws, repayments& rollovers on Oxford's corporate credit facilities as required;
- Being a subject matter expert for Oxford’s Treasury Management system (“Kyriba”) and managing the testing and implementation of subsequent modules as required;
- Managing initiatives to improve the efficiency and scale of internal processes;
- Analyzing and documenting the internal control environment, particularly key risks and adequacy of existing controls while ensuring adherence with all Oxford and Treasury policies and controls;
- Leading the payments desk to ensure timely and accurate processing of wires, and assisting with ad-hoc projects as they arise
- Forecasting and Special Projects
- Reviewing monthly cash balance reports, continuities and pro-formas to identify, and action upon, sources of cash accumulation;
- Building and presenting consolidated cash flow forecasts to drive decision-making around cash management initiatives;
- Leading and managing the planning and execution of projects that support cash minimization objectives in collaboration with other departments within the organization;
- People Management
- Providing leadership, mentorship, guidance and feedback to junior staff to continue to develop a best-in-class team and deliver results;
- Leading a team of at least two analysts / senior analysts
To succeed in this role, you:
- Hold a university degree with a focus in business/finance/accounting with an appropriate professional designation (CPA, CFA and/or CTP);
- Have 5+ years of relevant accounting, finance, banking or treasury experience including at least 1 year in a people manager role;
- Excel in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes and tight timeline demands;
- Are a strong people manager, with leadership and talent management skills;
- Possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships across all levels internally and externally;
- Are an independent self-starter, who can also work effectively in a team-based environment;
- Have excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities within structured deadlines and deliverables;
- Have strong financial modeling, data mining and advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficient with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint. Experience with TMS would be considered an asset;
- Are analytically minded with the ability to learn quickly;
- Are results oriented, acting with a discernable sense of urgency; and
- Can “think outside the box” and recognize key risks, question existing tasks/methodologies with a view to improving overall processes driving efficiencies and strengthening the existing control environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year.
