Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, assists staff and students in the treatment of patients. Assists in the instruction of dental students. Prepares and sets up instruments and materials. Ensures compliance with infection control. Schedules appointments. Compile reports. Ensures maintenance and supply of equipment and materials.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the dental assistant assists staff and student in the treatment of patients. Assists in the instruction of dental students. Prepares and sets up instruments and materials. Ensures compliance with infection control. Schedules appointments. Complies reports. Ensures maintenance and supply of equipment and materials.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist staff and students during dental treatments.
- Prepares operatories and processes instrument.
- Evaluates infection control protocols are being met.
- Identifies problematic areas in clinics.
- Sterilizes instruments as required.
- Maintians and replenishes inventory of supplies.
- Helps with miscellaneous administrative tasks
Minimum Education and Experience:
- DEP
- Dental Assistance 3 years experience
