Shipper/Receiver, Processing Facilities
About the role
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Receiving: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods against invoices or packing lists, recording shortages and damaged goods.
- Shipping: Pack, crate, and prepare items for outgoing shipment; select appropriate shipping methods and carriers.
- Documentation: Create bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms manually or using computer systems.
- Inventory & Logistics: Move materials to designated storage areas, maintain inventory records, and update warehouse management systems.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other lifting equipment to handle materials.
- Safety & Organization: Ensure a clean, safe, and organized, workspace; comply with safety procedures and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with inventory software, email, and scanning devices.

Certification: Forklift operator license/certification is often required.

Communication: Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments.

Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
