Purpose of your Position - Non Union
Classification Summary - Union
An Equipment Operator II operates and maintains mobile equipment according to
proper competency standards, safety practices and regulations. Performs manual work.
Duties - Union
-
Operates mobile equipment and trucks with various attachments (e.g. roadside mowers, road marking machines, truck-mounted sidewalk plow, tailgate mounted sanders and sand spreaders, asphalt rollers, turf sweepers, small tractors, etc.)

Performs traffic & sign installation and repairs; performs paving maintenance and road construction work.

Performs routine inspection, maintenance, lubrication and fuel ling of equipment.

Uses various hand tools for routine maintenance and changing of attachments.

Refers equipment for mechanical repair and services as required.

Responds to routine public enquiries; maintains written records of work performed.

Performs manual labour work.
