What are we looking for?

We are looking for an ambitious and talented profile to join our Sales Department as Account Manager located in Toronto (Canada).

Mission

Manage the assigned client portfolio, ensuring a strong and trusted relationship, meeting commercial objectives, and identifying growth opportunities, while coordinating internally to deliver excellent service.

Key responsibilities:

Execute Commercial Strategy & Account Plans

  • Support the design and execution of customer account plans based on strategies, targets, and guidance from the Sales Lead, Canada.
  • Assist in preparing annual business plans, including commercial targets, promotional calendars, and investment needs.
  • Manage day‑to‑day customer interactions, contributing to strong and collaborative relationships that unlock business opportunities.
  • Communicate account objectives, opportunities, and priorities to the internal team and broker network.

Results Tracking & Performance Management

  • Deliver assigned commercial budget targets across accounts managed.
  • Monitor performance versus plan and identify risks, gaps, and corrective actions.
  • Track promotional execution, distribution, and shelf presence to ensure flawless in‑market activation.

Business Development & Growth Initiatives

  • Build and maintain external customer relationships to proactively identify opportunities, including closing listing gaps, expanding store distribution, and optimizing promotional plans.
  • Lead monthly forecasting for managed accounts and participate in S&OP discussions with Demand Planning; integrating baseline trends, post‑promotion analysis, and customer insights to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze customer and market data (e.g., POS, shipment trends, promotional performance) to generate insight-based recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to discuss new items, initiatives and opportunities
  • Maintain and update a Risk & Opportunity tracker for each account, ensuring visibility to cross‑functional partners.
  • Partner with brokers in monthly objective setting and reviews to ensure delivery of distribution, merchandising, and sales targets.
  • Maintain standard customer files (agreements, contacts, promotional calendars, and presentations) for audit readiness and organizational continuity.

You will need:

  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in CPG sales, category, trade marketing, or related commercial roles (co‑op or internship experience accepted for high‑potential candidates)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills; comfortable interacting directly with customers.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business analytics tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, retailer portals) an asset.
  • Growth mindset with a desire to develop toward a National Account Manager role.
