The Supervisor of the Microsoft Licensing and Solution Specialist (MLSS) team will lead a high-performing group of licensing experts who support CDW’s Microsoft business across SMB and Enterprise segments. This role is responsible for team leadership, strategic alignment with sales and partner teams, and ensuring excellence in licensing execution, solution design, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Licensing and Solution Specialists.

Conduct regular performance reviews and support career development.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Operational Excellence
-
Oversee day-to-day operations including licensing quotes, pre-sales support, and customer calls.

Ensure alignment with Microsoft’s go-to-market strategies and CDW’s revenue goals.

Manage and report on pipeline to both internal stakeholders and Microsoft Stake holders
-
Help manage co-sell engagement with Microsoft as well as Senior support on Sales calls
-
Monitor KPIs such as CSP growth/Licensing Program Growth, Seller/MLSS engagement, and back-end fee optimization.
Strategic Collaboration
-
Partner with Sales Managers, Microsoft stakeholders, and internal PPM contacts to drive solution adoption.

Participate in monthly syncs and strategic planning sessions to align on priorities and opportunities.
Process Improvement
-
Identify gaps in licensing execution and propose scalable solutions.

Collaborate with Compensation and HR teams to refine role definitions and job codes as needed.
Training & Enablement

Facilitate training sessions on Microsoft licensing programs, products, and services.

Support onboarding of new team members and advance hires.
Required Qualifications
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft licensing, including volume licensing programs (EA, CSP, Open Value).

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory or team lead capacity.

Deep understanding of Microsoft’s licensing ecosystem, including SAM, LSP, and CSP frameworks.

Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive performance.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field.

Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCP, MCSA, or equivalent).

Experience with CDW systems and PM Tracker metrics.
