The RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to join our construction team and support the successful delivery of large-scale projects. This role is ideal for a young professional, who has recently graduated from post-secondary, that is eager to develop hands-on experience in construction project management, with a clear growth path toward becoming a Project Manager. You will serve as the hub of project communication by coordinating activities, tracking documentation, and ensuring schedules and project requirements are met while gaining exposure to all aspects of project execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is motivated to build the skills and experience needed to advance their career in construction management.General

  • Reviewing and processing shop drawings, samples, and submittals

  • Assisting with building permits and compliance with local, provincial, and federal codes

  • Coordinating materials management, trade scopes, and site instructions

  • Tracking RFIs and supporting project start-up, site setup, and LEED tracking

  • Attending meetings, manage dashboards, and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

  • Supporting safety compliance, documentation, and reporting

Documentation

  • Maintaining accurate project records, drawing logs, procurement logs, and digital construction plans

  • Recording, reviewing, and distributing meeting minutes; following up on tasks

  • Preparing daily logs, progress reports, and documentation for progress claims or disputes

  • Assembling close-out documents, O&M manuals, and warranty information

  • Taking jobsite photos

Planning

  • Assisting with site setup, initial pre-pour meetings, and shipping/receiving

  • Understanding project planning risks and support schedule coordination

Contract Knowledge

  • Understanding basic contract obligations between subcontractors, clients, and the company

  • Maintaining knowledge of codes and regulations as they relate to construction

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Engineering, Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist, or the equivalent

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Capacity to efficiently prioritize and work under tight deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as MS Word and Excel.

  • Superior organization and administrative skills

  • Experience in construction, drawings and specifications
