Your Impact

OpenText’s global Source to Procure (S2P) team helps maximize value from OpenText’s vendor relationships and ensures our internal stakeholders have the goods and services they need to succeed. As part of the Vendor Management team, this position focuses on vendor master data and requires an understanding of the importance of data quality to business operations. This role ensures that all new vendors meet the company's compliance, documentation, and qualification standards, promoting efficient and accurate vendor onboarding. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and knowledgeable about procurement processes, with experience or familiarity in using the SAP Ariba platform.

What The Role Offers

  • Administering the end-to-end vendor onboarding and master data management process.
  • Educate new suppliers and internal stakeholders on company requirements, the onboarding process, and timelines to manage expectations effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that new vendors meet company standards and policies before activation.
  • Verify and maintain all supplier information and documentation (W-9s, tax forms, NDAs, certificates, and insurance) ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards. Flag any incomplete or non-compliant submissions for review and escalate issues as needed.
  • Assist in identifying process bottlenecks and collaborate with the procurement leadership team to suggest improvements for a smoother onboarding experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues within systems and serve as a first point of contact for vendor onboarding-related questions.
  • Maintain knowledge of updates and changes in system functionalities to keep master data processes current and efficient.
  • Generate and maintain onboarding metrics and reports, tracking onboarding cycle times, compliance issues, and process efficiencies.
  • Providing support to business stakeholders and suppliers regarding the S2P process, policy, systems, and transactions, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Following and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure the highest data quality, understanding the impact that data quality has on cross-functional business units.
  • Initiating and carrying out data cleansing activities in conjunction with the Master Data Services (MDS) team.
  • Identifying, reporting, and resolving data quality issues through root cause analysis.
  • Analyze/understand data from various sources/vendors to ensure data integrity and completeness.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or administrative support role, preferably within a technology or service industry environment.
  • Previous experience with SAP Ariba SLP, NetSuite or other vendor management systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effectively liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders. Professional and approachable demeanor, with a customer-service mindset when dealing with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of procurement processes, vendor compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Strong analytical capabilities required to provide efficient and effective solutions (ie. ability to work with large and diverse sets of data).
  • Self-management including attention to detail, organizational/time management, strong inclination to self-development.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace change and willingness to learn to ensure best practices.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to take initiative in recognizing data issues/concerns or areas where improvements could be made.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and objectives.
