Job Overview
The QA Automation, reporting into the Director, Software Engineer, is responsible for designing automated tests to validate specific functionality and creating a suite of automation tests that run scheduled regression tests on the entire suite of toolsets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the software development and product management teams to verify full functionality and develop stress tests.
- Work with developers to identify software application weaknesses and target areas.
- Create automated software test procedures.
- Review software bug reports and highlight problem areas.
- Write automation scripts and implement software applications.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automation software tests.
- Identify quality issues and create test reports.
Education, Training & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience working as a QA Automation engineer, QA Tester, or related position in an IT department.
Skills & Abilities
- Advance programming skills including automation systems and databases.
- Familiarity with programming script languages (example: Python and Selenium).
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong and accurate level of attention to detail.
Working Conditions
- Prolonged period sitting at a desk working on a computer.
