About the role

What are we building? Hard Rock Digital is a team focused on becoming the best online sportsbook, casino, and social gaming company in the world. We’re building a team that resonates passion for learning, operating, and building new products and technologies for millions of consumers. We care about each customer interaction, experience, behavior, and insight and strive to ensure we’re always acting authentically. Rooted in the kindred spirits of Hard Rock and the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Hard Rock Digital taps a brand known the world over as the leader in gaming, entertainment, and hospitality. We’re taking that foundation of success and bringing it to the digital space - ready to join us? What’s the position? We're hiring an AI Forward Deployed Engineer to build agentic and generative AI for our Enterprise functions: Finance, Legal, Data Protection (DPO), and HR. This is an end-to-end role. You'll own features from the backend to the frontend and ship internal tools that put AI in the hands of finance, legal, and people teams, automating document-heavy, policy-bound work like contract review, reconciliation and reporting, privacy operations, and HR support. You'll work hands-on with agents, prompt engineering, and RAG over sensitive internal data, holding the highest bar for privacy, confidentiality, auditability, and fairness. Because these functions help govern how the company adopts AI, you'll often build the guardrails other teams rely on. What you'll do Build and ship AI features end to end, from the Python and FastAPI backend to the Next.js and React frontend, as internal tools for Finance, Legal, and HR users. Automate Finance workflows, including reconciliation, reporting and variance analysis, FP&A support, invoice and document extraction, and procurement analysis. Build contract intelligence for Legal, including clause extraction, redlining support, and obligation and renewal tracking across jurisdictions. Support the DPO and privacy program, including PII detection and redaction, DSAR automation, records of processing, and retention enforcement. Build HR tools, including handbook and benefits Q&A, recruiting and onboarding automation, and people-analytics support, with strict bias, fairness, and confidentiality controls. Build the data and retrieval foundation: document AI, RAG, vector search, and MCP servers over sensitive internal corpora and warehouse data, with grounding, citations, and access controls. Embed privacy-preserving patterns and human-in-the-loop review (redaction, data minimization, role-based access, audit trails, explainability) into anything that touches regulated or people-impacting decisions. Help operationalize AI governance and guardrails aligned to ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, the EU AI Act, and OWASP, and ship securely and reliably in production.

What are we looking for? 4+ years in software or AI engineering, or a relevant degree. Strong Python, with experience building and operating production services (REST APIs, microservices, containers). Frontend experience with React or Next.js, since this is a full-stack, end-to-end role. Hands-on experience integrating LLMs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Amazon Bedrock) and strong prompt and system-prompt engineering, especially for document understanding and extraction. Familiarity with RAG and experience with vector databases (for example Pinecone, Faiss, or pgvector). Demonstrated care with sensitive data: PII handling, redaction, access control, and confidentiality. Familiarity with at least one enterprise domain: financial processes, contract or legal workflows, data privacy regulations, or HR systems. Experience with a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and its AI and ML services. Nice to have Privacy and AI-governance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA and US state privacy laws, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, SOC 2). Document AI or intelligent document processing, and contract, ERP, or HRIS platforms (for example Ironclad, DocuSign CLM, NetSuite, SAP, Workday, BambooHR). Experience building explainable, auditable, human-in-the-loop AI for regulated or high-stakes decisions. Awareness of bias and fairness considerations, especially in HR and people use cases. Agentic frameworks and automation such as MCP, ADK, or n8n, plus Snowflake and dbt. What’s in it for you? We offer our employees more than just competitive compensation. Our team benefits include: Competitive pay and benefits Flexible vacation allowance A hybrid / remote working environment Startup culture backed by a secure, global brand Roster of Uniques We care deeply about every interaction our customers have with us, and trust and empower our staff to own and drive their experience. Our vision for our business and customers is built on fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where regardless of background or beliefs you feel able to be authentic and bring all your talent into play. We want to celebrate you being you (we are an equal opportunity employer).
